JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
- Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment.
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills in the mechanical-rotating discipline, and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.
- Specialized expertise of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical-rotating discipline, and the basic requirements of other disciplines.
- Specialized expertise of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical-rotating engineering with wide experience in multi-discipline areas
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Specialized expertise with rotating equipment, specifically centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, compressors
- (screw, centrifugal, reciprocating, sliding vane etc.),Gas Turbines as well as other rotating equipment packages
- Hands on experience with pumps, compressors and packaged equipment
- Specialized expertise in the specification for, evaluation of and documentation of rotating equipment packages
- Specialized knowledge of API-610 (pumps), API-617 &618 (compressor), API-682 (Mech. seal) and statutory and regulatory requirements and a good understanding of onshore and offshore engineering practices applicable to mechanical engineering design for oil and gas/refinery/petrochemical facilities.
INDUSTRY SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant years of experience of mechanical design in onshore/offshore oil & gas industry in a brownfield environment with focus on rotating equipments.
- FEED and detailed engineering experience is essential.
- Recent experience in an engineering consultancy in a multidiscipline environment is essential.
EDUCATION – QUALIFICATIONS, ACCREDITATION, TRAINING:
- Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage
