QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Strong experience in media rights management, preferably within the sports industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong market analysis and strategic planning abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and relationships with media partners and broadcasters.
  • Deep understanding of the media and production landscape in the MENA region.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of media acquisition and distribution agreement structures

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sale and distribution of media broadcast rights in Sportive’s portfolio as directed.
  • Oversee the acquisition, negotiation, and management of media rights deals for various sports properties, including football leagues, tournaments, and events.
  • Ensure media rights agreements are executed effectively, driving value for Sportive and its partners.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize media rights revenue and distribution across multiple platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with broadcasters, media partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Receivables: follow up on a day to day basis the receivables within your territories, communicate / update the Finance and Administration of the status, any action plan needed etc.
  • Leverage these relationships to drive successful media rights deals and long-term partnerships.
  • Lead negotiations with broadcasters and media companies, securing favorable terms while ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
  • Oversee contract compliance, ensuring that all deliverables are executed on time and as agreed.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including media operations, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of media rights agreements.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth delivery of broadcast content.
  • Provide regular updates to the SVP Football, Media & Marketing on media rights activities, market trends, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare reports on revenue, market developments, and forecasts to inform decision-making.
  • Liaise with event broadcast services and production staff to ensure all client needs are met.
  • Projections: acquire the best knowledge within the territories of responsibility in terms of media rights in all sports assuming that acquisitions will rely on the quality and accuracy of the figures provided.
  • New Business: actively seeking new business opportunities (both media and production) within your defined territories, formally communicating these opportunities to the responsible people and preparing investment proposals for evaluation.
