Description:
Temporary full-time and part-time positions available up to 80 hrs p.f. for up to 12 months
We are looking for exceptional Emergency Medicine consultants to join our Emergency Medicine Department within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. Rural Generalists with an Advanced Skills Training (AST) in Emergency Medicine are also encouraged to apply for our Gympie location.
SCHHS SALARY INCLUDES:
- Base salary comprising of between
- $100.77 - $ 127.77 p.h. (p/t)
- $7,827.20 - $9,924.00 p.f. (f/t)
- Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
- L18 - L24 $21,000 p.a.
- L25 - L27 $25,500 p.a.
- Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
- Emergency Department Specialty Allowance 25% of base salary (Applicable when rostering arrangements include working extended hours rosters)
- Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time)

These positions join a growing Emergency department at the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) with locations at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Birtinya, Nambour General Hospital and Gympie Hospital. The Senior Medical Officer (Emergency Medicine) is responsible for providing high quality Emergency Medicine medical management as well as advanced subspecialty services across the SCHHS.
Additional interest or experience in Emergency Department (ED) specialist areas such as Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM), Geriatric Emergency Medicine (GEMs), Toxicology and Mental Health would be desirable.
