JOIN OUR DYNAMIC TEAM AS A MENTAL HEALTH NURSE!

The Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team based at Hellesdon Hospital; Norwich are seeking ambitious Senior Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our existing team.
Our diverse team ranging from assistant practitioners, a hands-on service manager, physician associates, advanced nurse practitioners and more, can offer you the opportunity to develop your skillset, working alongside and learning from senior clinicians in a varied nursing role.
We’re proactive and highly skilled at managing risk and supporting service users in Norwich, South, North and Central Norfolk who are presenting in crisis. We’re passionate about providing alternative to hospital admissions, so you can expect to be undertaking rewarding, intensive work.
As a senior nurse within the team, you can expect a range of responsibilities including shift coordinator, triaging, assessments, working in home treatment within a community setting, without solely holding a caseload.
We split the team geographically and take equal responsibility for caseloads, so you will not hold one independently. Whether you have experience gained from an acute or community setting previously, it is important you recognise acute presentation and have a good understanding of the local mental health system.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

When you join us, you can expect to be supported in building your competence in assessment, there will be a minimum of two-week local induction and a core competency framework to work with, to support you to develop your assessment skills, using evidence-based practice.
We host regular reflective practice sessions, training days and wellbeing workshops, as well as clinical and management supervision. CRHT are quality improvement focussed and have regular interfaces with a range of teams, both internally and externally, including a focus on outreach with primary care.
The shift pattern is long days, 3 per week, including night cover, with 4 days off, we can offer the opportunity to rotate if this is something of particular interest.
