Job Description
Leading Dynamics Business Central implementations from start to finish, ensuring alignment with client objectives and adherence to industry best practices. As the functional resource for these projects, you will provide expertise and guidance to the implementation team. This includes conducting discovery workshops and engaging in discussions with clients to understand their supply chain processes, identify pain points, and offer tailored solutions. You will also facilitate scoping workshops to accurately capture and address customer needs, ensuring the successful delivery of Dynamics Business Central solutions.
In addition, you will be responsible for leading pre-sales presentations and functional discussions to showcase the capabilities and benefits of Dynamics Business Central to potential clients. You will create design documentation for client approval and prepare as-built documentation for future reference. Collaboration with project managers will be essential as you plan and coordinate project sprints and development efforts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery. You will also be involved in delivering training, delivering workshops and acting as a mentor to other staff.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a similar role working with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, including implementation, customisation, and configuration.
  • Deep knowledge of supply chain planning, procurement and sourcing, manufacturing and shop floor management, order management and pricing, warehouse management and fulfilment.
  • Proven track record of leading Dynamics Business Central projects from initiation to completion, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Experience in conducting discovery workshops, scoping sessions, and pre-sales presentations to gather client requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Strong functional expertise in Dynamics Business Central modules, functionalities, and integrations, with the ability to design and implement complex solutions
  • Advantage but essential - Previous experience of working in Manufacturing, MRP or Wdvanced Warehousing projects

Solution Design and Scoping: Leading scoping workshops will be a core function, enabling you to accurately capture and document customer requirements. You will translate these requirements into functional specifications, ensuring that the proposed solution effectively addresses their needs and delivers measurable value. This includes creating detailed design documentation for client approval, clearly outlining the proposed solution and its benefits.
Pre-Sales Support: Your expertise will be invaluable in pre-sales activities. You will lead compelling presentations and engage in in-depth functional discussions with potential clients, showcasing the power and versatility of Dynamics Business Central. You will articulate the value proposition and demonstrate how our solutions can address their specific challenges.
Implementation Execution: You will collaborate closely with project managers to plan and coordinate project sprints and development efforts. This involves ensuring efficient resource allocation, managing timelines, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks. You will also be responsible for preparing comprehensive as-built documentation for future reference and support.
Training and Mentorship: Sharing your knowledge and expertise is a key component of this role. You will deliver training sessions and workshops to end-users, empowering them to effectively utilize the new system. Furthermore, you will act as a mentor to other staff members, fostering their growth and development within the Dynamics Business Central domain. This includes providing guidance, sharing best practices, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
Continuous Improvement: You will stay abreast of the latest Dynamics Business Central updates and advancements, ensuring that our implementations leverage the most current features and functionalities. You will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of our implementation methodology, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
