REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • 3+ years of solution or services sales experience.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations, potentially under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
Cloud Screening: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS

  • Understanding of generative artificial (GenAI) intelligence concepts.
    Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,100 - $185,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $144,000 - $203,500 per year.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Modern Work Sales Specialist in US Federal you will be responsible for driving sales opportunities from qualified lead to close, owning the business decision maker relationship, and transitioning won opportunities smoothly to your customer success team. This opportunity will allow you to accelerate your career growth, develop deep business acumen, hone your selling skills, and become adept at deal structuring. This is a flexible work opportunity where you may work from home fully and travel to customer sites as needed.

  • Sales Execution: You will Orchestrate a virtual team and assess customer needs to develop strategies that proactively build a stakeholder network to accelerate and close Modern Work opportunities.
  • Business Value Selling: You will foster and expand Microsoft’s relationships with Customer Business Decision. Hunt new Modern Work opportunities by identifying and engaging with key business contacts, understanding customers’ business and technology priorities, governance, decision and budget processes, and landing the value proposition of Modern Work solutions.
  • Scaling and Collaboration: You will lead the planning, orchestration and execution of Modern Work opportunities with internal stakeholders and partners to cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Technical Expertise: You will lead Modern Work Business Decision Maker (BDM) and Technical Decision Maker (TDM) conversations, share best practices and key competitor knowledge across solution areas acting as a subject matter expert (SME) to inform decisions on pursuit or withdrawal.
  • Sales Excellence: You will lead and plan for accounts across territories, do compete plans and business analysis to pursue high-potential customers and manages Modern Work solutions across the organization.
