Job Description

“Skills Required:

  • 8-10 years of experience working in a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer related role.
  • Extensive experience in leading, driving and planning large scale IT projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Intune, Config Manager (SCCM), Azure, Defender Suite, Microsoft & Office 365 skills.
  • Advanced PowerShell & automation skills.
  • High sense of ownership, conscientiousness and an attitude that embraces ambiguity.
  • Great collaboration, communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including endpoint protection, data encryption, and identity management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Must be a detail-oriented person with demonstrated ability to collate and manipulate data efficiently to drive insights and action plans.
  • Excellent communicator with demonstrated ability to articulate technical initiatives to business stakeholders in email, PowerPoints, and long-format documents.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • As a senior Modern Workplace Engineer, you will be working mostly on projects related to our Windows SOE, for both Windows clients and Windows servers, either as a resource or as the project lead, delivering projects of all sizes from conception all the way to completion.
  • You will be part of a small and fast-paced Enterprise Operations team working on maintaining our infrastructure and acting on alerts raised by our monitoring systems, escalations of user issues and some advanced user requests.
  • Architect, design and implement global solutions related to Modern Workplace and Windows SOE solutions, mostly based on Microsoft technologies like Intune, Config Manager (SCCM), Azure, Microsoft & Office 365 services and others.
  • Act on enterprise infrastructure related issues and constantly improve the monitoring of those.
  • Research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify strategies that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, clients and internal customers to ensure smooth implementation and operations of new systems/applications.
  • Drive processes to adequately forecast for new services and growth of existing services while simultaneously implementing opportunities for cost reductions and efficiencies.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals and identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Support all IT Infrastructure and Operations functions by developing system and process documentation and driving awareness across the IT business.
  • Work with IT Infrastructure and Operations leadership to build, articulate, and execute strategy for process and technology initiatives.
  • Provide project coordination and tactical support for minor operational and capital projects.
  • Work with infrastructure support groups and Service Management to provide performance analytics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide communications and change management support for IT Infrastructure and Operations initiatives within IT and enterprise.
