Description:

Cognitive is seeking a Senior .NET/C# Developer - Technical Lead with advanced knowledge and expertise in applications programming methodologies and disciplines. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in C# and .NET, advanced knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) in Microsoft SQL and Oracle environments, and strong knowledge of cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in .NET/C# development
  • Experience with Azure Cloud
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Pages, Dataverse, Apps, Automate), Entra/B2B, Active Directory/B2C
  • Experience with modern authentication and authorization (eg. Single Sign on (SSO), OpenID, OAuth2, SAML)
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to guide other developers in coding tasks
  • Knowledge of database systems and data modeling
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Proficiency in version control systems
  • Detailed-oriented with the ability to adjust to priorities, learn systems, within time constraints and with available resources
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and very good interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and able to deliver top-quality, error free work on time in a remote work environment
  • Experience working in complex environments and architectures
    Technical Skills: C# / .NET; Oracle SQL (SQL Developer); Front end (HTML/JS/CSS); REST API integrations; Microsoft Azure; Microsoft Power Platform

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering discipline. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Minimum 8 years of related professional experience
  • Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust - Medium Background Investigation (MBI)
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development team and ownership of technical outcomes
  • Develops and maintains enterprise software applications using C# programming language
  • Parse JSON, XML structured data into normalize data sets
  • Writes clean, efficient, and well documented code that adheres to software development standards and best practices
  • Outlines possible risk and core dependencies in development and effectively communicates these to stakeholders
  • Works with internal architecture teams and Customer teams to ensure common understanding on technical outcomes
  • Collaborates with other developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of software features and bug fixes
  • Ensures all code from development team can follow all client required SDLC methodology
  • Ensures all code from development team is optimized, error free at time of deployment to production
  • Ensures all code matches contract requirements
  • Performs code reviews and provides constructive feedback to other team members
  • Continuously learns and stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to .NET development
