Currently, the City of Belleville has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, strategic, and dynamic individual to join our CAO’s Office - Information Systems Division as a Senior Network Analyst.

Salary: Grade 9 - $81,100.93 - $96,547.79 per year

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

  • 2-Year diploma in Information Technology, computer Science, related discipline and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Courses in business analysis, process mapping, and/or project management are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a small to medium sized IT infrastructure enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, such as Windows Operating Systems, Messaging and Collaboration, Office Productivity Suites, Security Product Suites, Unified Access Gateways, VMWare Virtual Infrastructure such as ESXi, VDI, VCENTER, Enterprise LAN/WAN/Wireless technologies and methodologies, networking products such as Avaya Nortel and Fortigate Cisco firewalls, DMVPN Routers & switches, SAN storage and backup solutions. Wireless Microwave Radios, Enterprise class server hardware and software including administering Mobile Device Management systems, and familiar with business continuity/disaster recovery strategies
  • Other Microsoft Certifications (such as MCPITP in server technologies), Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP, PMP or others) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Reporting to the Supervisor of Technical Services, the Senior Network Analyst is responsible for providing technical expertise in infrastructure related designs, troubleshooting and solutions, and to ensure security, high availability and operability of mission critical IT backbone infrastructure for all City Departments and other shared service partners. This position implements, configures and administers server and network software. The position acts as a lead resource for IT infrastructure related challenges, software support, and security of the City’s IT assets. The role collaborates with other IT staff, vendors, and regional partners on technical solutions and development.
