KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Data Management and Integration:

  • Provide clear requirements for integrating and processing network telemetry data in existing or to be deployed data lakes from diverse network sources supporting various data models
  • Provide requirements for data collection, processing, and storage that support AI/ML applications from the fixed network perspective.

Data Presentation:

  • Ensure telemetry data is accessible, consistent and usable across various platforms.
  • Define and specify product data models to present network data in a user-friendly and actionable format.
  • Provide requirements for data visualization to ensure effective decision-making processes.

Data Usage for AI/ML Applications:

  • Develop and define architectural requirements for integrating AI capabilities within data driven network architectures to ensure streamlined decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to leverage network data for developing predictive models and machine learning applications.
  • Ensure data services (manage, process, and facilitate access to data) support the integration and usage of data in AI/ML workflows.
  • Ensure AI/ML models can be effectively deployed and scaled within the network infrastructure.

Network Configuration:

  • Ensure AI/ ML applications provide required data points to efficiently trigger Network Controller or Service Orchestration platforms to configure network devices .

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure all data services and data flows adhere to relevant data protection regulations and organizational policies.
  • Implement and maintain comprehensive measures to improve network security .

Performance Optimization:

  • Continuously review and optimize the performance and scalability of data services to handle varying loads and ensure efficient operation.
  • Enhance continuously data storage solutions and refine access patterns for improved efficiency and performance.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with Liberty Global’s country organizations to provide guidance, support, and expertise in their data-driven transformation efforts.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data architecture and telecommunications.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Essential skills & abilities:

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a focus on transforming network operations through data-driven approaches.
  • Deep understanding of network data, protocols, and technologies within the telecommunications industry, especially in the fixed network domain.
  • Expertise in designing and developing APIs and data services.
  • Good experience with data integration, ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load), and data workflow design.
  • Extensive knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data services for performance and scalability.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based data services and infrastructure is required.

Desirable skills & abilities:

  • Proficiency in data analytics and machine learning frameworks.
  • Experience with big data technologies and tools.
  • Certifications in data management or architecture.
  • influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources required for success may not be in direct control of this role.
  • Proven track record of driving departments and organizations towards delivery, efficiency and effectiveness.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

Liberty Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Service Data Architect to join our Fixed Network Domain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the transformation of Liberty Global’s country organizations towards data-driven architectures using CLA/AI/ML applications for e.g. network self-healing, predictive maintenance or traffic utilisation optimisation to optimize CAPEX/ OPEX spend. This role requires a strategic problem solver with deep expertise in network technologies, data services and a passion for driving data-centric innovation.
