Senior Network Engineer

Ensuring the seamless operation of DHL’s global network infrastructure, with a priority on securing customer data, is at the core of what we do. You will be at the forefront of maintaining, optimizing, and supporting our existing infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring network performance, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring the reliability and security of our systems.
You will handle escalated issues from lower-tier support engineers, engaging in deep troubleshooting and collaborating with other IT support teams and specialists when necessary. Addressing complex operational issues requires effective communication with vendors, especially concerning firmware bugs, vulnerabilities, and other technology-related concerns.
Your role also involves managing, proposing, and implementing necessary operational changes to production devices across all IT Services Data Centers, Public Clouds, and premises to ensure the uninterrupted global availability of key DHL Group services.
Additionally, you will support and manage security technologies associated with Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxies, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, ensuring they are optimized and functioning correctly.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in the field of Network Security.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of at least one of the following technologies: Firewalls (Fortinet), Load Balancers (F5 BIG-IP) or Proxy (Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway, ZScaler).
• Excellent TCP/IP knowledge.
• Very good knowledge of standard application protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS etc.).
• Networking and/or Security experience on the level of CCNP.
• Good knowledge of Linux operating system and scripting.
• ITIL awareness.
• Ability to work independently and under time and workload pressure.
• Excellent communication, prioritization and organization skills.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
