Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the New-born Hearing Screening Service; we are looking to recruit Senior New-born Hearing Screener to be based at Royal Victoria Infirmary but working into Northumbria Trust will be required.
The successful candidate must have worked previously as a New-born hearing screener, as you will be required to perform and facilitate the new-born hearing screening programme within the maternity units and clinics in accordance with National and Local protocols.
The successful candidate will support the local manager lead the team of Newborn hearing screeners and facilitate the smooth running of the programme across the North of Tyne area. The role involves direct handling of new-born babies, contact with parents and liaising with other health professionals. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to have good communication and interpersonal skills.

To perform and facilitate the Newborn hearing screening programme in the Maternity Units and selected out-reach clinics in accordance with National and Local protocols.
To organise outpatient appointments to ensure good coverage by the screening service. The job involves direct handling of Newborn babies, contact with parents and liaising with other health professionals.
To support the local manager lead the team of Newborn hearing screeners and facilitate the smooth running of the programme across the North of Tyne area.
