Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Senior Manager, you will manage and steer our electronic or electromechanical manufacturing service partners. Your main contributions will be the execution of all APQP and NPI related activities that will lead to a successful product launch into series production, after which you will hand over to the Operations team.
You will be fully aware of all production and quality requirements and their impact on the supply chain. During the Process & Design Development and Validation you will be able to maintain a helicopter view in order to successfully steer the project (s). You are capable of understanding ME expectations to suppliers and you are able to judge and make the right decisions. The NPI Manager interacts, actively communicates and seamlessly links our internal departments Hardware, Operations and Production.
YOUR FUTURE TASKS AT A GLANCE
- Supports cross-functional coordination and facilitates product launches in conjunction with our Production Partners.
- Establishes and monitors multi-project timelines, ensuring the on-time completion of action plans.
- Steers production partners and equipment suppliers in order to reach the project milestones.
- Conducts analyses of multiple equipment utilization rates and provides strategic guidance for new capital investment decisions.
- Leads Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in project to optimize product designs for efficient, cost-effective production.
- Manages the maturity assessment of production releases and its quality assurance.
- Collaborates with the Manufacturing solutions team to define production technologies and equipment.
- Responsible for sourcing the equipment according to the specific project needs and budget.
- Proactively identifies potential risks to Product Launch schedules and/or budgets and implements mitigation strategies.
- Facilitates the implementation of Change Management process at the Production Partner facilities.
