SENIOR NODE.JS DEVELOPER

Location: West Midlands / Hybrid
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000
Job Type: Full-Time - Perm
We are currently supporting a leading iGaming company who is looking for a Senior Node.js Programmer to build scalable, high-performance applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
  • Integrate server-side logic with front-end components.
  • Optimise performance, scalability, and security.
  • Write clean, efficient code and troubleshoot issues.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Node.js Developer.
  • Strong JavaScript and Node.js framework skills (Express, Koa).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and databases (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with Git and agile teamwork.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity in containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • An understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Experience working with microservices architecture.
