Description:

Are you a highly motivated, professional nurse, looking to progress your career? Have you got significant experience at Band 7 or above?
An exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse leader has arisen within the Women and Children’s Directorate leadership team. Following the retirement of the current post holder, this position supports the leadership of the specialist Neonatal team across the South West Wales region.
The successful applicant will provide strong clinical leadership and be a professional role model to nursing staff at all levels. Your role will be to manage staff and resources within the health board Neonatal service, ensuring care is delivered in a safe, effective manner, ensuring the use of current evidence-based practice and while promoting the values of the Health Board.
Hywel Dda University Health Board has a relocation policy for successful applicants wishing to move to the area. Applicants must meet the criteria to be eligible which can be found in the Relocation Policy.
Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager for Neonates (and being professionally accountable to the Directorate Nurse), you will be expected to work autonomously, but in close liaison with the Neonatal joint clinical leads. You will apply your highly specialized knowledge to lead the operational team, and to strategically support the directorate leadership team in the delivery of high-quality neonatal care.
Working closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team, specifically Maternity and Paediatrics and other agencies involved in the delivery of neonatal care, you will ensure an integrated approach between nursing and medical staff and inter-departmental teams is maintained.
