Description:

We are Manchester Local Care Organisation - an exciting, new public sector organisation that is bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in the city. We’re driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Manchester by working across organisational boundaries.
The first health and social care staff have been deployed to us from April 2018 and are now starting to work in new ways across the city. Our teams work as one in the neighbourhoods they serve – delivering and designing services in partnership with local people. We also provide key services that work across wider localities and city-wide. We believe that our pioneering approach will make a massive difference to the health of people in our city and we are looking for you to join our team and help us do this.
If you can answer YES to the following questions, we have the post for you.
Do you enjoy working in partnership with children and families?
Do you enjoy working in the community?
Do you enjoy supporting children with a range of abilities?
Are you looking for a new challenge?
Do you want to extend your knowledge and experience of complex care?
The Children’s Community Complex Care Team provides care and support to a range of children and young people with varying healthcare needs, some who are technology dependant, in a variety of settings across the Manchester area.
The complex care team is currently looking to recruit senior nursing assistants to provide support and care to a range of young people across the city. The post holder will become part of a team of registered nurses and carers working with families and young people delivering a range of high quality care packages.
You must be a highly motivated and dedicated individual who has the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour/7 day period. Travelling across the Manchester area you will hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes. It is essential that you hold the NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification to apply for the role. Posts are full time but we will consider part time applicants.
The complex care team is part of the Integrated Children’s Community Specialist Services which include children’s palliative care team and special need school nursing team. There will be opportunities to work with these areas as part of the wider community nursing team.
In return we can offer you a comprehensive induction, relevant training and development opportunities and also the opportunity to develop care skills working within a multidisciplinary framework in the community setting.
