ABOUT THE TEAM
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Disabled Children’s Team, on a full time basis.
Our team is based at Civic Centre in Keynsham, within the Children and Young People Service and we are looking for an enthusiastic worker to join our team. You will experience a culture of mutual support amongst team members and receive formal supervision on a regular basis and appropriate training.
This rewarding role will see you working within a small Occupational Therapy team providing advice and support for children, young people and families in the Bath and North East Somerset area. We work closely with our colleagues across the service and have established partnerships with agencies across health, education, support services and adult services to ensure we can respond as effectively as possible to the needs of children and young people. We work with children with complex needs between the age of 0-18 predominantly at home. We support disabled children and their families to live safely and independently in their own home.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The role will involve the following:
- Assessing children and young peoples needs under the Children and Families Act,
- Assessing and making minor and major adaptation requests to enable access to essential facilities and to ensure a safe home environment.
- Providing equipment and moving and handling advice and support.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS SUBJECT TO AN ENHANCED DBS CHECK.
