Description:

We are therefore looking to appoint a full time capable Senior Office Administrator that is service oriented and willing to work with academics, professionals and students.
The duties will include a wide range of administrative tasks from arranging meetings, minute taking, ordering stationery, arranging catering, printing, filing and the related financial transactions. These functions will support the Research Office staff and include project management and oversight.
The incumbent would be expected to become well integrated into the team within the Research Office, be a team-player as well as an independent worker, and have a high level of self motivation and ability to work without supervision. The successful incumbent would have excellent interpersonal skills and high levels of proficiency of all Microsoft Office programmes would be essential.
Qualifications:
A post-secondary school degree or diploma in administration is required as a minimum.
Prior experience in working in a research environment at Wits University is required.
An honours degree or higher would be beneficial.
