ABOUT US
Oxfordshire County Council’s Preventative and Restorative Schemes Team plays a key role in the maintenance and management of our carriageway assets. The team is involved in all aspects of the maintenance cycle, from initial identification and assessment of schemes through to construction.
Responsibilities:
In this post you will have a leading role in the delivery of preventative and restorative carriageway maintenance treatment schemes.
Working closely with colleagues across the directorate and external supply chain partners, to identify, design and deliver carriageway improvement schemes. Also liaising with commissioned design resources to ensure all works delivered are undertaken providing the most cost effective and efficient means of delivery.
Project management to ensure programmes of work are delivered to time and cost. Making decisions on the scope of works and cost as necessary and providing expenditure forecasts.
Support with continuous development and training.
You will be required to carry out site visits as necessary for developing forward programmes of work and as part of monitoring the quality of construction works.
The designated work location will be in County Hall, Oxford, although much of the work is anticipated to be able to be carried out whilst agile working, (i.e. other offices located in Oxfordshire or from home).
