KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Responsibilities:
Our Brown Thomas Arnotts Digital department are looking for and experienced Senior Online Merchandise Manager to lead our Fashion categories to achieve sales and profit targets.
This role is also accountable for our growing digital cross-divisional concession business. The role is based in our South Anne Street Head Office, a hub for creativity, style, and innovation. The team currently operates a flexible WFH plan to suit the department and teams. Working regularly from our open office space makes it easy to share ideas and be inspired whilst also offering flexible WFH days
This role will play a key part in maintaining a positive online customer experience balancing brand and commerce across Brownthomas.com and Arnotts.ie. As a Senior Manager within Digital, you will play a leadership role in defining BAU and site development to drive commercial return and participate in project management across broader site areas such as: checkout, delivery, service enhancements, App and Web user journeys. We are looking for someone who can bring a strong commercial and strategic outlook as well as new ideas on how to innovate to be the best-in-class digital destination.
- Category strategy development, trade reporting, merchandising, site optimisation, range development and event/camping execution.
- You will be responsible for mainlining and building on our relationships with all our brands and suppliers as well as key internal teams including buying, marketing, customer services, store, and DC operations.
- This role is responsible for the overall commercial performance of Fashion departments and concessions.
- To define and execute a robust commercial strategy to deliver on the growth sales and profit targets. Translate overall business and digital strategy into divisional plans.
- Drive the trading calendar including promotional, campaign and launch moments. Accountable for planning and execution of such, working cross-functionally with support from the Head of Digital Trade.
- The delivery of a commercially sound roadmap for Concessions integrations and projects, working with the Online Concessions Manager to ensure the effective prioritisation.
- Responsible for managing and developing a team with various seniority levels.
- Responsible for increasing conversion rate across the site by leading a strategy for improved on-site search and navigation and product information architecture.
- Create insights on customer on-site behaviour and buying journeys and share findings and recommendations with stakeholders that will increase revenue.
- Monitor closely the online stock availability, working with buying as well as concessions team to ensure depth and width of range is optimal to achieve sales targets and is profitable for online operations.
- Inputs into the wider site & app development BAU sprints recommending changes and functionality that will improve overall CVR and CX including a holistic approach for both online and offline customer experience to support our overall business growth.
- Researches and stays aware of marketing trends and in turn making recommendations to the business around onsite experience, digital technology, and product range.
- Optimises existing digital tools to optimise search, sorting rules, cross- and upsell, reviews and relevant content.
- Inputs and drives the overall Acquisitions and marketing priorities to maximise traffic and ROAS for the department whilst ensuring they key categories are getting enough traffic and visibility across channels.
- Key contributor and lead in site-wide projects, which require commercial decision making, balancing UX and business requirements.
- Build productive partnerships with the Buying, Merchandising and Marketing Teams and directly with brands to build the divisional strategy and sales plans.
