ABOUT THE JOB

We’re currently looking for a Senior Operating Associate to join our team. The position is 100% remote and will work closely with the executives and internal teams to position companies for growth, and work through cross synergy opportunities with other portfolio companies and Tether itself. The operating team is currently a two person team that works closely with multiple other teams within Tether. This role will also work with C-level executives on strategic analyses, oversight and execution of key initiatives, monitoring, business planning and KPIs deliverables

Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior leaders to assess and develop their growth potential, effectiveness and performance.
  • Partner with the individual strategic leaders of each business line to establish realistic key performance indicators, reporting templates and engage in ongoing dialogue.
  • Map out industry landscapes, co-develop a plan for growth and execute accordingly.
  • Portfolio management of multiple companies across a sector, including day-to-day dealings with management teams and for value-creation projects. Projects include go-to-market strategy, assessment of competitive threats, cost synergies, as well as capital investments, working capital and procurement assessments and reviews.
  • Provide leadership in planning, forecasting, and due diligence to support the company’s growth and regional expansion objectives. Develop multi-year business scenarios to establish a planning foundation to assist senior level management in planning and executing investments (including capex, opex, M&A and human capital).
  • Contribute to innovation efforts to continue to expand revenue opportunities and increase profitability across key platform investments.
  • Assist with growth initiatives to include more acquisitions and partnership identification strategies. Identify, research, and develop new opportunities/business ventures that fall within and outside of existing lines of business.
  • Assist the investors in identifying, prioritizing, and executing the key strategic initiatives across the business plans. Develop strategic direction and growth initiatives in a format that clearly outlines ROI for investors’ approval.
  • Ensure that other companies within the portfolio are collaborating and communicating across our portfolio on strategic initiatives, making sure that the right team members are included to ensure successful delivery of synergies.
  • Identify and supervise human capital resources to leverage existing teams to generate additional revenue and efficiencies.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset through the company culture.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Master of Business Administration (or commensurate experience) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience required. Consulting, investment banking and/or PE experience preferred (e.g., 2-3 yrs consulting + 2-3 yrs in industry).
  • 2+ years experience with the payments industry is preferred
  • Deep knowledge of resource planning, demand planning, budgeting, business planning, corporate strategy required. Prior exposure to the following areas is also valued:
  • Coordination of cross-functional teams;
  • Direct reporting or direct interaction with C-suite executives;
  • Strategic advisory projects for multinational groups including acquisitions, post merger integrations, operational improvement plans;
  • Development of business plans, budgets, operating models, due diligence reports, investor reports and management presentations;
  • Acquisition due diligence (commercial, financial, legal, tax, technology, organizational, etc.) and/ or post-acquisition support;
  • Exposure to communications, sales, business line or product management leadership, benchmarking, and forecasting functions.
  • Strong business sense, market research, analytical, and presentation skills required. Being reliable and organized: proven ability to work proactively to deliver high-quality end-results and outputs with attention to details even under pressure.
  • Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with all associates and key stakeholders, with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy. Able to present a proprietary standpoint / proposition and lead with influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to abide to commitments and protect confidential information.
  • Ability to develop and execute short and long-term strategic plans; ability to develop and maintain external relations with a wide range of stakeholders and partners.
  • Ability to work day-to-day with management teams across different levels of seniority.
  • Limited travel may be required.
