Responsibilities:
This is a Permanent position on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa.
As the Senior Engineer Operations, you will be responsible for providing senior technical expertise and driving the Operations Engineering team to deliver accurate designs and technical notes on time. You’ll work closely with the Operations Scheduling team to meet operational targets.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Review and approve technical designs, and align on critical path and resource planning
- Oversee execution of the underground mining weekly schedule across multiple crews
- Lead safe work practices and coach the team on safety protocols
- Manage a team, including training, mentoring, resourcing, and performance management
