INTERNAL VACANCY

This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.
To support our continued success we are recruiting for a Senior Operations Officer in the School of Sociology and Social Policy. As Senior Operations Officer you will work flexibly as part of an integrated team to support the delivery and continuous improvement of operational and administrative support.
This is a FTC position (12 months), full time. Open to part-time possibly, but limited to 29 hours (4 days a week). Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

The role will be driven from the Operational elements that drive our Education and Student Experience (ESE) and Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE). Key areas of focus will entail, but not limited to:

  • develop, deliver and coordinate support and activity across a range of areas ensuring an exceptional customer experience;
  • provide specialist support advice and guidance on operational processes and activities within ESE and RKE;
  • contribute to the development and continuous improvement of relevant plans, policies and processes;
  • support the collection and preparation of information and documentation for operational management and quality assurance and enhancement purposes
  • provide high-level administrative support to relevant members of the Faculty’s senior leadership team;
  • act as secretary and contribute to the management of relevant Faculty committees; and,
  • contribute to the planning, management and delivery of projects and initiatives to support Faculty plans and priorities.
