INTRODUCTION SENTENCE

To guarantee the highest availability, we are in the process of replacing our existing systems with a Cloud Solution. Now that the first services are already running on AWS, further systems are to be migrated to AWS and the degree of automation for deployment and operations will be successively increased.

YOUR ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Experience in provisioning, monitoring and operating infrastructure in AWS and hybrid environments
• At least one successful established project in AWS Cloud in your near past
• Strong knowledge of maintaining Linux systems and services and/or network devices in on-premise environments
• Good knowledge of Linux and a profound understanding of network protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
• Experience in using Terraform (and Terragrunt desirable)
• A ‘Team player’ attitude and willingness to become an ops expert in a Scrum development team
• Good English Skills , because this is our team language
• Desirable: organizational Information security skills (NIS-2, ISO-27001)
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Azure and GCP provisioning & experience in Kubernetes

• Create solutions for a hybrid IT architecture, together with our development and architecture teams
• Support our development teams in migrating existing services and creating new services on Public Cloud providers (primarily AWS)
• Design, create, operate and maintain Public Cloud components for our services and databases
• Maintain on-premise infrastructure like servers and network switches
• Establish a comprehensive monitoring and alerting system
• Continuously optimize resources/services and costs
