JOB DESCRIPTION

A Database Administrator at Jeavio maintains a key role in the implementation and maintenance of the database components across the customer products, and assists customers in the planning, support, and management of their databases. The ability to work with internal and external customers is a requirement. Monitoring and maintaining the SaaS database is a top priority.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors or Master’s in Computer Science or related fields
5+ years of DBA experience

KEY TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AREAS EXPECTED FOR THIS ROLE:

• Strong knowledge of relational database technology and relational database design
• Managing Oracle via Linux administration
• Understanding of Oracle Auditing, logging, alert/event review via linux files
• Familiar with Linux shell commands & Linux administration experience
• Understanding of Linux Memory in conjunction with Oracle parameters that require tuning or review for troubleshooting
• Upgrades and patches via Linux for Oracle
• Strong documentation skills, oral and written communication skills
• Capable of managing multiple projects at the same time
• Performs under limited supervision
• Proven ability to work within a team to achieve goals
