Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Senior Packaging Testing Technician plays a crucial hands-on role in the Packaging Testing Lab, operating under the supervision of the Mid-Level Packaging Engineer. Primary responsibilities include executing testing procedures, setting up equipment, maintaining equipment functionality, gathering data, and ensuring the accuracy of testing processes. This position is essential for contributing to the successful operation of the lab and supporting the overall goals of the testing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hands-On Testing:
Execute packaging testing procedures according to established protocols and methodologies.
Operate testing equipment to assess package integrity, seal strength, sterility, and other relevant parameters.
- Equipment Set-Up and Calibration:
Set up testing equipment for various packaging tests as directed by the Mid-Level Packaging Engineer.
Perform equipment calibration and ensure proper functionality before testing procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct routine maintenance on testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with the Mid-Level Packaging Engineer to address any equipment issues promptly.
- Data Gathering and Documentation:
Gather data during testing procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Document testing processes, results, and any observations in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaboration with Testing Team:
Work closely with the testing team to support ongoing projects and ensure efficient lab operations.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during testing.
- Quality Control Support:
Contribute to the implementation of the lab’s quality control system.
Follow procedures for accurate documentation and reporting of test results.
- Training and Development:
Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Support the training of new lab personnel in hands-on testing procedures.
- Regulatory Compliance Support:
Assist in ensuring the lab’s operations comply with industry regulations and standards.
Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements related to packaging testing.
