Description:
The role of Senior Paediatric Radiographer with the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital offers the suitable candidate an exciting opportunity to specialise in Paediatric Imaging, supported by an experienced team. The Royal Alex is a dedicated paediatric hospital; opening in 2007, we have a 24 hour A&E, theatres, a High Dependency Unit, inpatient wards and a large outpatient department. The Imaging department offers plain film, fluoroscopy, ultrasound and MRI examinations, with CT and nuclear medicine referrals performed by the Royal Sussex County Hospital teams.
This vacancy is part time between Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm at the Royal Alex, with a commitment to additional weekend and evening shifts allocated with the Royal Sussex (both Hospitals are on the same site).
This is a part time role (22.5hrs), required to work Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays (to be confirmed at interview).
As a Paediatric Radiographer for the Paediatric Imaging Service, you will help ensure delivery of a high-quality service that provides optimal clinical results. We provide specialist imaging examinations for Paediatric patients including plain x-ray, dental, fluoroscopy, theatre, and ultrasound. Cross Sectional Imaging for paediatric patients is performed within the Imaging department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and these teams would benefit from support and advice from specialised Paediatric radiographers.
