QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Completion of post secondary degree/diploma
  • Preferred area of study: Social Sciences
  • Possess and maintain a valid Ontario G Class Driver’s license (with a clean driver’s abstract)

Experience:

  • 2 years’ administrative experience providing customer service
  • 2 years of professional driving experience
  • Driving experience in a support service or employment role preferred
  • Experience training and coaching others
  • Knowledge of Western University and campus parking practices preferred

Responsibilities:

The Senior Parking Services Assistant is responsible for assisting with training, coaching, and supporting the Parking Services Assistants. The incumbent will assist with special events on campus. The Senior Parking Services Assistant will provide feedback to the Operations Coordinator and Manager, Parking Services. The incumbent will be enforcing parking regulations throughout Western University campus and providing administrative and transactional support for various individuals and processes. The incumbent will patrol campus using an assigned vehicle with license plate recognition, compile and issue parking citations, and provide information on various parking regulations to the community. The incumbent will respond to general inquiries in person or by telephone and/or 2-way radio, and may maintain an inventory of equipment.

The incumbent will also provide data entry and analysis where necessary, including but not limited to citation patterns and correspondence.

  • Please note, successful applicants will be required to work a variety of day and evening shifts in this position.
