Description:
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for processing multistate employee payroll, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate records. You will be working closely with our Accounting & HR teams, contributing significantly to our operations in the Government Contracting industry.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage multi-state employee payroll effectively.
- Prepare and post journal entries in the accounting software system.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.
- Reconcile payroll accounts regularly to maintain accuracy.
- Generate monthly reports to provide insights and updates on payroll activities.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Collaborate with the Accounting & HR teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Utilize various software systems including UltiPro, UKG Pro, and Deltek Costpoint for payroll processing and other related activities.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards in payroll administration.
- Leverage your Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) skills to enhance payroll processes and systems.

- Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll administration role
- Mastery of Accounting Software Systems is required
- Proficiency with ‘About Time’ software is a necessity
- Experience with Benefit Functions is essential
- Knowledge and experience with UltiPro software is expected
- Familiarity with bi-Monthly Payroll processing is necessary
- Proficiency with UKG Pro software is a requirement
- Must hold a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
