Description:
We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to become a permanent member of our team located in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for the full-cycle processing of bi-weekly payroll, managing employee benefit administration, ensuring compliance with payroll laws, and acting as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full-cycle processing of bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees, including accurate processing of transactions such as salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, wage and hour laws, and implement best practices.
- Regularly audit employee pay records to ensure accurate tax reporting and year-to-date earnings.
- Administer employee benefits, liaise with brokers, carriers, team members, and our payroll provider. Support the HR team with benefits open enrollment and HRIS system updates based on annual changes.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries on payroll and benefits, and ensure all payroll errors are handled timely and detail oriented. Manage the HRIS system to ensure it contains up-to-date and accurate data.
- Leverage your proficiency in Paylocity and other payroll software to streamline and automate payroll processes.
- Utilize your Certified Payroll Specialist (CPP) skills to ensure the accuracy and compliance of payroll processes.
- Apply your knowledge in Full Cycle Payroll and Multi-state Payroll to manage complex and diverse payroll functions.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a payroll position
- Proven expertise in using Paylocity software
- Certified Payroll Detail Oriented (CPP) certification strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of full cycle payroll processes
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
