Job Description
What you will do:
If you love doing a bit of everything in the People and Culture space, you will love this role!
This is a true generalist position: you will be working with and supporting the managers of our Individual and Community Services (ICS) teams. ICS operates from multiple sites across Melbourne and Sydney and has a large itinerant workforce of Allied Health professionals across Australia. You will be consulting and collaborating with ICS Managers and the Leadership team on a wide range of people, culture and safety matters including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, workforce planning, injury management, employee safety and wellbeing and implementing PCS projects and initiatives.
You will work closely with others members of the People, Culture & Safety (PCS) team: Workplace Relations Manager, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, Recovery at Work Coordinator and our People Services and Payroll teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in a People and Culture generalist role, preferably in a not-for-profit environment.
- Experience in supporting managers with employee relations matters.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, modern awards and other industrial instruments.
- Previous experience working with itinerant staff and staff based in remote locations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and the confidence to present to groups of staff in person or online.
- Ability to effectively debrief staff – Mental Health First Aid qualification preferred.
- Ability to approach a problem laterally and provide alternative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Ability to travel to ICS sites in VIC and NSW occasionally as required.
