  • This role is based 100% on-site (5 days/week) at our Pleasanton, CA office

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior People Generalist will work closely with the People Partners, on-site leadership and the Senior Manager, People Partners to provide a wide range of essential human resource support. This role will support multiple People Partners, Leadership and Tekionites within the Ohio office + US and Canadian Leadership + Tekionites within the US and Canadian markets.
The successful candidate will perform activities in the human resources area within all functions of the employee lifecycle including administration, retention, compensation, training, employee relations, employee engagement etc. The successful candidate will understand business acumen, human resources practices and processes in support of the overall business operations and business outcomes.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years of experience required in Human Resources or related field.
  • BS/BA in related discipline (i.e., Human Resources, Business, Management, and Organizational Development).
  • Prior experience using HRIS and ATS (Greenhouse preferred).
  • Requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong consultative, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Role requires the ability to be collaborate, build relationships and influence employees within all levels of the business up to C-suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with competing priorities.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and solutions oriented.
  • Must demonstrate teamwork and the ability to partner with others to get things done.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommends and implements human resources process and policy changes.
  • Assists with communicating and interpreting policy and procedural changes to managers and employees.
  • Maintains highly confidential employee information and documents.
  • Assists with the other employee-related work, projects, and events as needed, i.e., Culture Champions, Party People, Off-sites, etc.
  • Partners cross-functionally within the Human Resources function and with the business to solve tier 1 employee concerns.
  • Prepares reports and analyzes data from information reporting and management decision-making.
  • Provides reporting to the People Partners and can provide initial recommendations on process, policies and procedures.
  • With direction, assists managers with the annual merit increase process, the mid-year promotional cycle, and any other ad hoc compensation requests; partners with compensation as needed.
  • Works with compensation and business leaders on job description development.
  • Partners with compensation to address salary and/or compensation concerns that emerge within the People Partners client group; works directly with compensation and People Partners to review results on internal and/or market analysis and assists with recommendations to resolve issues.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to both employees and leaders within the US and Canadian markets.
  • Coaches supervisors and managers on employee performance issues, disciplinary actions, terminations, employee conflicts, policy violations, etc.
  • Provides support to multiple People Partners and other tasks as assigned.
  • With direction, investigates employee issues and complaints; makes recommendations to the People Partners to resolve issues and ensure timely and appropriate actions are taken. \
  • With direction, prepares responses and/or statements issues related to employee complaints.
  • Interprets and applies programs, policies, and procedures and ensures compliance with state and federal statutes and regulations, if applicable, to include Fair Labor Standards Act, Labor Management Relations Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, etc.; consults with HR Leadership and Legal as needed.
