Description:

IDEAS | PEOPLE | TRUST

We’re BDO. An accountancy and business advisory firm, providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organisations need to navigate today’s changing world.
We work with the companies that are Britain’s economic engine – ambitious, entrepreneurially-spirited and high‑growth businesses that fuel the economy – and directly advise the owners and management teams leading them.

WE’LL HELP YOU SUCCEED

Leading organisations trust us because of the quality of our advice. That quality grows from a thorough understanding of their business, and that understanding comes from working closely with them and building long-lasting relationships.
You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.
At BDO, we understand that an excellent Personal Assistant plays a vital role in a thriving business. We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Senior PA to join our team of business support professionals to undertake a pivotal role in helping steer the firm to continued success.
This is a career with a purpose.
This will be a challenging and rewarding role where you will provide a full range of support in the International Sector within the London Audit Group for a mix of Directors and Senior Managers.
Your role will extend beyond that of the known traditional PA to become a linchpin in our operations.

Key attributes we value:

  • Learning Mindset: Embrace continuous evolution and apply your insights to our ever-changing business landscape.
  • Calm under Pressure: Maintain clarity and composure, making informed decisions amidst challenging situations.
  • Adaptability: Juggle diverse tasks with finesse, adapting swiftly to the dynamic needs of our firm.
  • Flexibility: Respond with agility to unforeseen changes, balancing professional and personal resilience.
  • Skilled Organisation: Anticipate needs and stay ahead, fostering a seamless partnership with stakeholders.
  • Clear Communication: Convey critical information effectively, honing skills in clarification, empathy, and active listening.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understand the business imperatives and contribute meaningfully to our strategic goals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Align your tasks with our firm’s vision, prioritising for maximum impact.
  • Troubleshooting: Tackle challenges proactively, offering solutions that reinforce your indispensable role.
  • Resilience: Bounce back from setbacks with confidence, supporting colleagues through complex scenarios.
  • Planning: Master the art of foresight, navigating complexities with a clear understanding of priorities and a focus on driving process efficiencies.
  • Tech Proficiency: Leverage technology to enhance processes and drive efficiency.
  • Accountability: Own your responsibilities, managing your workload and stakeholder relationships with autonomy.
  • Problem-Solving and solution finding: Resolve issues independently, freeing stakeholders to focus on strategic endeavours.

At BDO we are all stakeholders. We all understand our mission and strategy and the responsibilities each person has towards its success. We are role models with a position of responsibility.
In return, at BDO, we offer a unique environment where your aspirations are taken seriously and we help align your skills for the future stages in your career. You will be part of our National Business Support stream, benefiting from a robust Career Development Framework and our in-house qualification, the BDO Vocational Achievement (BVA). Our commitment to continuous learning and development ensures you are equipped with the skills and knowledge to continue to deliver excellence.

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including but not limited to: -
