JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Pharmacists in various daily activities within the pharmacy. From assisting with prescription dispensing to providing outstanding customer service, your contributions will directly impact the quality of care we deliver to our patients. Reporting to the Lead Pharmacy. We have 2 locations available for this position: Sydney and Esquimalt.
Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Greeting and assisting patients with prescription drop-offs and pickups.
- Accurately entering prescription information into our computer system.
- Creating and updating patient profiles to ensure comprehensive care.
- Supporting Pharmacists in dispensing and labelling prescriptions.
- Compounding oral solutions, ointments, and creams under supervision.
- Assisting with inventory management and ordering processes.
- Operating the cash register with efficiency and accuracy.
- Upholding patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient inquiries.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of Pharmacy Assistant experience in Canada required.
- Kroll experience considered an asset.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards.
