Description:

We are excited to invite a highly motivated individual to join our Pharmacy Business & Transformation Team on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave from the 2nd of September 2024 to the 3rd of November 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in managing and expanding our Homecare Services. Previous homecare experience is essential for this role. You will have the chance to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Homecare Companies, specialty consultants, nurses, and pharmacists. Additionally, you will provide invaluable ad hoc support to other specialties within the team, such as procurement and high-cost drugs, especially during periods of increased workload. If a relevant qualification is not already held the post holder will study and work towards the NVQ Level 3 qualification in Pharmacy Services to achieve a Band 5 post.

  • Responsible for reviewing information relating to High Cost Drugs (HCD’s) within RSFT.
  • To support the team in collating the HCD data from the JAC pharmacy computer system and the relevant In and Out patient areas.
  • To accurately review daily, weekly and monthly quality reports to meet targets for the Trust Finance team for recharging to the Commissioners’.
  • To manage and develop Pharmacy Homecare Services
  • Responsible for enabling the accurate management of patients’ prescriptions with 3rd Party homecare companies in order to ensure a safe and timely supply of medication to patients.
  • Responsible for the accurate costing of private patients bills on request.
  • All of the above benefit the Trust financial position.
