Description:

ABOUT THE JOB:

Kent is looking for Senior Piping.

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assurance of PIPING designs through appropriate application of international, National and CLIENT technical standards and specifications, implementation and review of design deliverables and activities.
  • Conduct feasibility/conceptual studies & in-house engineering for small and medium size piping brown-field projects
  • Trouble-shooting the Piping design, identifying and resolving issues with engineering and / or fabricator by raising and resolution of Site / Technical Queries.
  • Assist construction personnel with general technical queries and details.
  • Ensure schedule and cost considerations are included in design decisions, while maintaining primary responsibility to assure safe and appropriate quality designs.
  • Ensure PIPING Engineering activities are executed in alignment with Project Delivery Roadmap and Opportunity Realization Process.
  • Delivery of the PIPING engineering scope for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with agreed HSSE practices and procedures as defined under the CLIENT HSSE management system.
  • Act as LEAD PIPING focal point in the review and preparation of engineering deliverables ranging from engineering study deliverables to RFC packages, commissioning procedures, ITPs, Material Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluations, etc.
  • Develop strategies/conceptual designs during early project phases
  • Drive technical assurance: Assure engineering and construction of PIPING engineering discipline scope is carried out in compliance with required project standards and specifications
  • Participate in engineering reviews regarding PIPING engineering discipline, witnessing of Factory Acceptance Tests, as required and participate in safety and quality audits and field reviews as required.
  • Drive installation quality, working with Construction contractor and QPH Construction team and provide technical support for commissioning of PIPING Equipment where applicable.
  • To be fully familiar and up to date with latest CLIENT and Industry standards and ensure compliance of projects design with these latest standards.
  • Audit construction field activities for compliance and assist in resolution of field non-conformance issues as required.
  • Ensure design meets requirements of CLIENT’s HSSE Framework.
  • Design and develop, as required, innovative technical approaches to the broader process engineering issues and contribute to continuous business improvement initiatives (fit for purpose)
  • Provide (one stop shop) PIPING equipment engineering support and delivery for QPH minor / base and medium projects up to and large projects as defined within this CONTRACT.
  • Accountability for process engineering deliverables and engineering execution planning support including provision of senior engineering expertise.
  • Proactively working with the Engineering Manager to keep projects on track and achieve Top Quartile (TQ) performance for the portfolio.
  • Drive and delivery of an ever-increasing effectiveness and efficiency in producing project designs, through Elimination, Simplification, Standardisation and Automation balanced against the need for Top Quartile FEL in, and quality designs for the projects.
  • Mastery knowledge of recognised international and IOGP standards including JIP33.
  • Responsible for team workflow month on month to ensure all priorities of project are met.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • BSc., University in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Oil and Gas related PIPING Engineering
  • Performs as a professional PIPING engineer for projects and plant modifications from Front End Development through execution / commissioning and start-up. Past work experience should cover the wider spectrum of the piping engineering discipline (e.g. layout, wall thickness calculations, materials handling, stress analysis, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Project Delivery as an Umbrella Contract Lead PIPING equipment engineer function in a multidiscipline Workforce
  • 3DModel review, Pipe Wall thickness, Flexibility analysis, MR’s/TBE’s/VDR, Pipe supporting, Input to material handling studies, Dropped object study,
  • Experience in the Middle East, an advantage, as is front-end and commissioning experience and execution.
