PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • HNC (or equivalent) in a process or engineering discipline.
  • Experience in maintenance and outage planning within an industrial or power generation environment.
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes, contract management, and operational procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS software (Maximo preferred).
  • Familiarity with planning tools such as MS Project or P3.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will:

  • Plan and schedule routine maintenance, outages, and assigned projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Oversee the preparation, tracking, and updating of maintenance and outage schedules.
  • Lead weekly maintenance and outage planning meetings, liaising with operations and engineering teams.
  • Act as a Maximo “Super User,” ensuring effective use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate resources, spares, and outage planning.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain deadlines.
