WHAT WE DO.

In London, Bakkavor Meals employs over 2,400 people across three sites and a distribution centre in the Park Royal area. These sites specialise in making chilled ready meals, houmous dips, deli products and savoury accompaniments, and are part of Bakkavor’s Meals sector which has eight factories in total in the UK.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support the planning team with delivering a short-term accurate plan and forecast of demand, production, capacities and labour - highlighting any concerns with capacity or efficiencies
  • Ensure that 100% customer service is maintained at minimum cost, both internally and externally
  • Communicate accurate and timely information to the business and customers. Cultivate relationships with all key external and internal stakeholders to the supply chain function.
  • Determine finished goods and base inventory levels and replenishment rules, minimising product and material disposals.
  • Control waste levels by challenging operational performance to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Confident to approach customers to align short term numbers to minimise waste or risk to service.
  • Ensure planning systems are maintained to the highest standards and represent the business on new planning system initiatives.
  • Develop and retain a cohesive and effective Planning team to deliver rota’s planning cover over all manufacturing operations. Complete appraisals and PDD’s for each member.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Planner you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the planning team and will support the planning manager in the delivery of the Business Plan & Supply Chain Strategy. This should include demand management, finite scheduling & capacity management, labour & materials forecasting and maintenance of planning systems.
