Description:
BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW
BAM Nuttall are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Senior Planning Engineer to join our ASTI onshore team. As part of this team, you will play a key part in delivering large civil engineering projects that will provide critical infrastructure to enable future, renewable developments across Scotland. The projects are located near Inverness-shire and along the Moray coast. You will be required to work out of our regional offices initially which are located in Inverness and Kilsyth before visiting site during project delivery. The projects are within the energy infrastructure sector, building new substations and HVDC converter stations to support Scotland’s transition to net Zero.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining detailed programmes in P6 from first principles including resource loading.
- Integration and management of sub-contractor and supplier programmes with our own.
- Assimilate and interpret information from tender and project documentation.
- Understand civil construction techniques and developing them into a working programme.
- Coordinate with estimators and commercial teams on all programme aspects.
- Compile concise narratives, phasing, reports and supporting documents for input into quality submissions for tenders and projects.
- Take ownership of the programme to drive project delivery.
- Utilise a number of planning techniques and tools to communicate the programme effectively.
- Contribute, support and communicate programme information, risk and commercial issues to operational teams in a variety of formats.
- Chair collaborative planning workshops with clients, operational teams and subcontractors (depending on Project requirements).
- Update and monitor project progress, compile reports against project and contract requirements.
- Introduce and analyse change in programmes and support the commercial teams.
- Evaluate supply chain and subcontract programmes.
- Comply with business processes and systems.
- Maintain awareness of latest construction techniques
