Description:
We are seeking a Senior Plant Accountant for our team based in DEKALB, Illinois. The role primarily revolves around the Semi-Conductors and Electric Component Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling accounting tasks related to plant operations and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process and maintain accurate records of customer credit applications.
- Oversee customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions when necessary.
- Implement and adhere to GAAP Accounting and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) standards.
- Undertake cost accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Utilize accounting expertise within the manufacturing industry to optimize financial operations.
- Provide financial insights and reports to assist in decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth running of the plant’s financial operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the plant’s accounting practices.
- Assist in the resolution of customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain and update customer credit records as required.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the semi-conductors and electric component manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in Cost Accounting is required
- Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and procedures is essential
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP is necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is desirable
- Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills are needed
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is crucial.
