Lubrizol is seeking an experienced Senior Plant Manager with Medical Device ISO13485 background to support our BMT, Germany location, on-site. You will work closely with the Senior Global Director Operation to lead the operations organization, manage operations performance objectives, and support business strategy. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence, improve productivity, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
In this role, you should have progressive experience in medical device production environment, mechanical, assembly or other industrial assembly. Catheter and balloon technology experience is a plus. You’ll lead operations performance improvements, critical projects and work collaboratively across a large variety of functions to drive results. You will support business revenue and the annual operations budget, so previous experience working with budgets is needed.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Plant Manager is to direct single-site manufacturing operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors; including production, engineering, maintenance, quality and other manufacturing-related activities, to ensure operational performance with respect to quality, cost and delivery; continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of manpower, materials, machines and business excellence in customer and employee satisfaction, but not limited to the above.

SKILLS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a plant management role within the medical device industry. Career progression in manufacturing or engineering functions, from production, engineering, to plant operations.
• Proven track record of successfully turning around plants and driving operational improvements.
• Experience at inspiring/leading large teams, driving team development and performance, ensuring a high level of employee engagement.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, develop effective solutions, and implement change.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, “high energy”, team-oriented environment.
• Proficient knowledge of ERP systems and other manufacturing software.
• Demonstrated success delivering results in a matrix organization.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, as well as facilitation experience.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Cross culture and international experience preferred.
