REQUIREMENTS

• You should have extensive experience in developing and maintaining Microsoft Azure cloud-based architecture and infrastructure.
• A solid understanding of basic networking principles, particularly IPv4.
• A deep, hands-on expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation tools such as Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• A proven track record of successfully supporting cloud-based infrastructure.
• Implementing and enhancing existing solutions in alignment with the Microsoft Azure well-architected framework, focusing on security, capacity, performance, availability, and monitoring.
• Providing support for daily business operations and activities for both internal and external clients, including services like SFTP, Virtual Desktops, BPM software, IAM, and others.
• Troubleshooting high-performance and business-critical solutions for both API and web-based applications.
• Strong communication and excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Extensive experience managing commercial infrastructure within the financial services sector.
• Proven track record of working on high-performing SRE, Platform, or DevOps teams.
• A keen eye for simplicity and the ability to navigate between simplicity and complexity as needed.
• Proficient in analyzing and allocating cloud costs to specific teams and services.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills to empower and develop junior members across technical, strategy, and delivery aspects.

As a Senior Platform Engineer you will be responsible for all aspects of our cloud infrastructure and data platforms including the design, operations, infrastructure as code, DevOps pipelines, and helping to define strategies which ensure our products meet the needs of our clients and prospects.
You will report to the Head of Operational Engineering and will work closely with the wider Engineering team as part of a cross-functional team. You will work with Solution Architecture to define standards and best practices to drive engineering disciplines and approaches, identify opportunities for improvements, and champion automation efforts across the platform.
