ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OPPORTUNITY: SENIOR PLUMBING ENGINEER
iENG is seeking qualified professionals to join our Engineering team. We are a full-service engineering and design firm specializing in nationwide conceptual design, BIM/3D modeling, procurement and mechanical construction management. We are currently looking for a Senior Plumbing Engineer to join our Engineering department located at our office in Granite City, IL. Our ideal candidate for a Senior Plumbing Engineer will be someone who is a self-starter with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. We are looking for an individual who has a drive for finding innovative solutions and an eagerness to contribute to our ongoing growth and success.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS FOR IENG’S SENIOR PLUMBING ENGINEER INCLUDE:
- 5+ years of proven experience in plumbing engineering, ideally within the HVAC, piping, or plumbing industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in plumbing design software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other employees and clients.
- Strong management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and provide results.

Responsibilities:
- Leading the planning, coordination, and execution of plumbing engineering tasks for assigned projects.
- Developing plumbing design concepts, including layouts, schematics, and calculations based on project requirements and industry standards.
- Working closely with the project management and virtual design construction teams to ensure proper integration of plumbing systems in overall project plans.
- Conducting technical reviews and providing guidance on plumbing system design, equipment selection, and material specifications.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and proposing resolutions to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Organizing job-site visits regularly to assess plumbing system installations, addressing construction challenges, and providing support to the team.
