THE OPPORTUNITY
The Ministry of Social Services is seeking one Senior Policy Analyst to join the Saskatchewan Accessibility Office in the Disability Programs Division of Social Services. This position will support the implementation and administration of The Accessible Saskatchewan Act. As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will be highly motivated and organized and committed to excellence and the ideals of an accountable and high-performing public sector. You will be an effective communicator and skilled at facilitating collaborative relationships with people who have different lived experiences and perspectives on topics.
In this role, you will:
- Build relationships and engage stakeholders, subject matter experts, and senior management to develop regulations and policy recommendations;
- Write briefing materials on complex, diverse, and sensitive issues;
- Participate in inter-ministerial initiatives to identify and prioritize actions to improve the accessibility of government services and programs;
- Develop compliance and enforcement framework to policies to compel compliance with regulated accessibility standards;
- Provide leadership, expertise, and direction in the conceptualization, development, planning, and evaluation of the Government’s strategic goals to improve accessibility, including the identification of outcomes, performance measures, data collection issues and methods; and
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of accessibility public awareness initiatives.
Responsibilities:
