Responsibilities:

ABOUT YOUR FUTURE ROLE

As a Portfolio Operations Lead, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of products and strategic initiatives across Nexi eCommerce. The Portfolio Operations Lead matches the strategic objectives and priorities of the business to that of the portfolio and ensures there is constant focus on the required deliveries and outcomes. The Lead also coordinates the allocation of resources and budget across the portfolio, and reports on the portfolio performance and progress to senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate feels a sense of ownership everything that we do in eCommerce and motivate others to join the journey for the task/s at hand. They may often need to step-in on behalf of local senior leadership towards the Group, which will require great storytelling and communication skills. They’ll also be adept at spotting patterns and gaps and coming up with solutions to address them.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Support the annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and priorities.
  • Act as an extension of the eCommerce leadership team, by feeling a sense of ownership on meeting targets and driving good outcomes.
  • Communicating and collaborating with product leads, business sponsors, and other portfolio stakeholders, to drive decision-making and execution of key initiatives.
  • Build an effective network within the wider Group, to ensure eCommerce stays “on the beat” with wider initiatives and movements within the company.
  • Developing and maintaining the portfolio governance framework, processes, and tools.
  • Providing regular and accurate portfolio status reports and dashboards internally within the BU, but also at Group-level..
  • performance analysis and key metrics of the product portfolio (incl. revenue, cost, margin, customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value)
  • Evaluating and optimizing the portfolio performance and value delivery (including ROI assessments)Identifying and managing the dependencies, risks, issues, and changes across the portfolio.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • At least five years of work experience, preferably in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Ideal candidate backgrounds would include existing portfolio managers, chief of staffs, or strategy managers.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of portfolio management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Intuitive, with an ability to adapt to changing business needs and stakeholder expectations
