The national salary range is £54,358 - £61,585, London salary range is £58,847 - £66,670. Your salary will be dependent on your base location
Total pay in the range of ‘£50,001 to £60,000, £60,001 and over’ are subject to capability, skills and experience. Salary may consist of base pay and a Recruitment and Retention Allowance (RRA)

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We’re recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative End User Compute Services (EUCS) team.
This role aligns against Senior Infrastructure Engineer from the Government Digital and Data Framework.
The EUCS Team design, deliver and support the core infrastructure and systems that enable End User Compute Services and line of business applications for over 100,000 Ministry of Justice users across over 800 locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in supporting and developing a team of Engineers, promoting a culture of best practices, and striving to achieve team goals.
  • Contribute to the design, building, and operation of modern and user-centric End User Computing (EUC) solutions and services that enable the Ministry of Justice to deliver services across the UK.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the latest standards and practices relevant to the role, sharing acquired knowledge and insights with the team and the MoJs Digital community.
  • Assist in implementing best practices throughout the development life cycle, focusing on designated product areas.
  • Integration and Connectivity: Integrate Power Platform solutions with existing systems, data sources, and third-party services. Develop connectors and APIs to enable seamless communication and data exchange between Power Platform and external applications.
  • Lead and support the design and architecture of solutions to support Microsoft Power Platform services, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents, CoE, APIs, Connectors, DLP, Environments and Dataverse etc.
  • Deployment and Configuration Management: Oversee the deployment and configuration of Power Platform environments, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines. Implement automation and scripting solutions to streamline deployment processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Performance Optimization and Scalability: Optimize Power Platform environments for performance, scalability, and reliability. Conduct performance tuning activities, capacity planning, and resource optimization to ensure optimal platform performance.
  • Foster effective collaboration with other areas of EUCS and Justice Digital, contributing to shared goals and the delivery of integrated solutions.
  • Please note, you may be required to take part in an on-call rota, sharing the responsibility of providing out of hours engineering cover for major incidents for which an additional allowance is payable.

The Senior Power Platform Infrastructure Engineer will work collaboratively with:

  • Lead Engineers
  • Technical Architecture and Service Operations teams
  • 3rd party Service Managers, Project and Technical leads
  • Senior Operations Managers within the EUC team
  • Key MOJ stakeholders
