Summary
Serves as a resources for reporting, calculating, budgeting, analyzing, and communicating sensitive financial, compensation, healthcare productivity, and performance-feedback data to executive management, multi-specialty physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs). Works with Professional Services personnel and management to continue to improve efforts to support physicians, APCs, and practice management. Assists in the development, installation, and administration of compensation programs designed to maintain the Network’s competitive position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health or related field.
  • 3 years in Physician compensation or
  • 5 years in a financial discipline.
  • Strong data organization and statistical analysis proficiency.
  • Knowledge of the management of and discretion regarding sensitive compensation information.
  • Ability to test, analyze, and report on significant findings within complex, confidential CPT, work RVU, and financial data.
  • Capacity to function effectively under frequent high-stress situations (i.e. data requests and short deadlines regarding compensation).
  • Advanced skills (and training certification for) the following computer programs required: Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, including the ability to create and manage databases to accurately execute confidential physician and APC information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in business administration, finance, healthcare administration, or computer science.
  • 5 years in Physician compensation or
  • 10 years in financial discipline

Responsibilities:

  • Administers various practitioner compensation programs
  • Develops the budget and projection compensation based on financial analysis of productivity and FTE for providers.
  • Evaluates market and economic trends to recommend changes to provider compensation programs.
  • Manages and oversees the physician and APC compensation database as well as other related databases.
  • Provides analysis of salary and productivity data to Executive Management, Department Chairs, Physician Leadership, Division Directors, and Practice leadership.
  • Manages ongoing Work Relative Value Unit (wRVU) and budget-based compensation systems for physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs).
  • Interfaces with departments (Family Medicine, Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, OBGYN, and Pediatrics), Finance, Payroll, Human Resources, and Physician Recruiting to communicate compensation changes and resolve difficult compensation issues.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
