Are you a passionate, innovative and creative Practitioner Psychologist?
Would like to be part of and shape, the exciting expansion and further development of our Early Intervention in Psychosis service in Cornwall?
We are seeking to recruit a qualified Senior Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical/Counselling/Forensic) to work within our newly commissioned ‘At Risk Mental State’ (ARMS) pathway within our well-established Early Intervention in Psychosis Service in Cornwall. This post will be countywide, based within our East and West ARMS Teams, working closely with 2 ARMS CBT Therapists, and multidisciplinary ARMS team colleagues.
Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner Psychologist who has worked as a qualified psychologist in adult mental health and/or CAMHS settings, and who also has experience working with psychosis.
However, the post is available at Band 7 (a developmental post) or 8A depending on experience . Relevant support and experience will be provided to ensure that successful newly qualified applicants will be able to transition into an 8A psychology post, after demonstrating significant post-qualifying experience and meeting the requirements.

To maintain an overview of the work of all psychological professionals (e.g., psychological therapists, trainee psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists (CAPs), Mental Health Wellbeing practitioners) working within the ARMS Pathway of the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service. and to be responsible for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the pathway.
To provide a specialist psychological assessment, formulation and therapy service to clients and their families/carers, in a variety of settings and utilising evidence-based interventions. To carry a caseload of the more complex clients, typically requiring an integrative approach, and exercise autonomous professional responsibility for their assessment, treatment and discharge from the caseload.
