Roles & Responsibilities
Job Title: Senior Presales Consultant / Presales Consultant
Reports To: Senior Sales Director

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience , including expertise in enterprise architecture consulting, such as interviewing stakeholders, conducting architecture/solution reviews, and consensus building.
  • Experience in presales proposal preparation, including writing and articulating during presentations for tender bidding.
  • Proven experience with manpower costing and estimation for tender bidding.
  • Experience in designing solutions that may include in-house technologies, software development, third-party hardware, and third-party software.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in senior-level technology decision-making discussions related to agility, business value, and system architecture.
  • Familiarity with the Singapore government tender process and security requirements will be an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective customer relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical solutions to new and existing corporate customers, focusing on Train-borne systems, communication, and IT-related solutions.
  • Propose and implement large, complex projects that involve multiple company and third-party technologies, developing project technology strategies in collaboration with solution architects and the product team.
  • Prepare and deliver business value solutions for customers, including proposal writing, presentations, and proof-of-concept demonstrations to showcase technical feasibility.
  • Oversee the selection of technologies and estimate resources required to develop and implement proposed solutions, ensuring they meet customer requirements.
  • Articulate alternative solutions in terms of cost, benefit, and risk, and highlight how the proposed solutions can achieve the customer’s business goals.
  • Manage customer relationships by communicating architecture standards, answering questions, and resolving concerns.
  • Actively participate in the business development lifecycle, supporting the sales team and mentoring junior presales team members in identifying opportunities, generating proposals, and other sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with project team members during delivery to ensure that the solution architecture is sound and practical, and make improvements where necessary.
