Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled clinician with leadership and management skills to take up the position of Senior Nurse for Physical Health at HMP Ranby.
You will be supported by Clinical Matrons for Physical Health, Substance Misuse and Mental Health, GP’s and other healthcare professionals in the wider healthcare team. This post will provide an opportunity to work innovatively to further develop and design the service to best meets the male population from a physical health perspective.
You should be enthusiastic, motivated, patient focused and enjoy a challenge. We provide a service 24 hours 7 days a week on an internal rotation basis. The team operates in a supportive environment with a commitment to personal and professional development. This role is for experienced registered general nurses and for nurses wishing to pursue a career within Offender Health.
To work as part of the Healthcare Centre team leading in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs and appropriate care and treatment.
Ensure the implementation of the National Service Frameworks and ensure maintenance of high standards of care to the prison population.
To coordinate and lead the team as operational daily nurse in charge.
To provide leadership, support for and supervision of the team.
Maintain professional standards, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

The Offender Health Care Group is one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK. The Care Group provide physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services in prisons across the East Midlands, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire.
The Care Group provides healthcare to 7 prisons and a short term holding facility. You are part of a large peer group of 400+ healthcare professionals with access to peer support, supervision and excellent opportunities for learning and development.

To demonstrate innovative practice whilst maintaining clinical efficacy, enabling the service to compete as provider of choice to local commissioners.
You will need to have a valid RGN Qualification and be registered with the NMC. You should also be flexible, adaptable and have good IT skills.
Ideally you will have prior experience of working within a range of healthcare environments
